After the tragedy in my city on Monday, I wanted to simply say that all my people are safe, and I am deeply grateful for that. That's about all I can get it together to say right now, so I will let another, much more famous author, respond for me.
He reminds us that Boston is great because it doesn't love easy things, here in Boston we love hard things. And while no one can love what has happened recently here, our resilience, orneriness, and solidarity will get us through.
